Bitts Top 5 Articles of 2010

As 2010 comes to a sharp close, I thought I'd present the top articles this year on Bitts. The following five articles have been determined based on pageviews and overall hype. Be sure to check them out if you missed them, and have a Happy New Year!

Apple Unveils the New iPhone 4
You probably saw this coming. This was probably the most hyped announcement of the year. iPad probably was more hyped, but our coverage of that had little pageviews. Keep in mind that Bitts has grown substantially since its launch. On top of being the most hyped, this article has held on to #12 in number of pageviews on Bitts in 2010.

Why Google Chrome OS Will Fail
This is actually an opinionated piece rather than a news article. In the midst of all the hype surrounding Google Chrome OS at the time, I decided to broadcast my thoughts on why it wouldn't be a success. Thus, this article was born. It's been linked to quite a few times from external sites, enough to make it the #4 most viewed article on Bitts. I even decided to write a sequel.

Apple Confirms AT&T iPhone Exclusivity Until 2012
I think this article became popular simply because everybody was so certain that Verizon would be getting the iPhone shortly, and then this news came from Apple and everything changed. Of course, even with this bit of information, the Verizon iPhone rumors are still stronger than ever. This is #10 in number of pageviews.

Google Me Social Network Confirmed By Facebook CTO
Even though the hype on this wasn't nearly as big as the others, I couldn't help but put this article on the list. This was linked to by the #6 domain in Portugal, sapo.pt, and has therefore been linked by many others as well. We still have yet to get a real confirmation about Google Me, but sources say it's a real project and it will come eventually. This article is the #1 most viewed article on Bitts ever.

Russian Hacker Obtains & Sells 1.5 Million Facebook Accounts
This article generated quite a bit of hype. This is when a Russian hacked into a large sum of Facebook accounts and was selling them on a forum. The article was liked and shared on Facebook many times, and even though not more than some others, generated the most clicks from Facebook. I sense people got nervous about the situation -- nervous enough to make this article #6 in number of pageviews.
