This account has surfaced on Twitter about a week ago with just one message saying "we are coming soon". There's no information and not even the website is working just yet (soon to be at hipstagr.am), but there's an interesting profile picture on Twitter that leaves some clues. As you can see to the right, there's an iPhone 4. Alright, so we know it's going to be an iPhone app. There is also a large protruding lens and a mustache underneath that. It kind of looks like the lens in the photo is supposed to double as a monocle, considering the mustache is below.

So this could be a waste of an article, but I have to say it does peak my interest. Hipstamatic is an iPhone app that is all about taking old-style photos by taking a photo and applying filters to it. Instagram is all about quickly sharing and preserving snapshots, while adding a little class with filters of its own. They are much less complex than Hipstamatic though. And here comes along Hipstagram -- the soon-to-be iPhone app that one would assume combines the best of both worlds.

I guess for now we'll just have to wait and see, but it's certainly looking pretty interesting.
