Is Sprint Getting the iPhone, Too?
Just when you thought all of these iPhone rumors would be put to an end, Sprint sends out invitations for an event being held in New York on February 7th, just three days before Verizon publicly launches the iPhone on their network. Rumor has it that -- you guessed it -- the iPhone may be coming to Sprint as early as February.
We do know that Apple's contract with Verizon is non-exclusive, making it likely that the iPhone will continue to move to other carriers in the US. Plus, Sprint uses the same CDMA technology as Verizon, so another model wouldn't even be necessary. Everything would just work out. The only thing right now that is sounding a bit unrealistic is the timing. It doesn't make a bit of sense for Sprint to announce an iPhone on their network days after pre-orders for the Verizon iPhone begin and days before it fully launches.
Right now this is only a small rumor, and whether or not it blossoms will probably tell if it's true or false.
