Verizon is Getting the iPhone
I'm watching an interview right now on CNBC at CES between Maria Bartiromo and Lowell McAdam, president and COO of Verizon. The very first thing she said was "Are you getting the iPhone or not?" in an attempt to squash all rumors then and there. That didn't work. He dodged the question almost immediately by talking about how Verizon is really there to discuss their 4G LTE rollout. She commented and got back to her first question, assuming he would not reveal any information about whether or not a Verizon iPhone is coming.
This time she worded her question a little bit differently. In broader terms than previously, she asked if Verizon were to get the iPhone, what that would do for Verizon. He reiterated that he would not discuss this type of information and only commented on it vaguely. That's when McAdam caught my attention. He specifically said "We value our partnerships so we are not saying anything." Right there. That's how you know the Verizon iPhone is coming. What other partnership could possibly affect anything he would have to say on that interview about the iPhone other than a partnership with Apple?
So it's clear now that Verizon and Apple have a partnership regarding the iPhone. It's clear now a Verizon iPhone exists. It's clear now that it's coming.
