Facebook Rolls Out Pages Redesign

Facebook Rolls Out Pages Redesign

Facebook has begun rolling out a redesign of Facebook Pages that aims to look like the new user profiles design that was announced a few months ago. The new design also brings a few new features to page administrators.

First things first, if the design has rolled out to you, you can visit your page and receive a message at the top to Upgrade or Preview. Choosing preview will bring you to a design tour. The navigation is on the left, recent photos at the top, and your wall is in the middle. On the right can be one of two things. Admins of that page will see quick links and settings for the page and a list of all the current admins. Regular users will see any common likes or friends with the page.

As I mentioned, a few new features have been added. The first is the ability of the page to like other pages on Facebook. These would be listed in the left sidebar. Additionally, you can now log into Facebook as your Facebook page. You would not be able to see your regular news feed, but instead activity from pages you have liked.

Facebook usually takes a slow approach to roll outs but all pages should get the redesign shortly.
