Verizon iPhone 4 Launches! Big Pre-Orders, Small Lines?

Reports are coming in from all over the United States saying that as one probably would not expect, the lines at Verizon and Apple stores today weren't all that big at all. Apple has a history of having lines that can go blocks and blocks down the road for new products. Even though the iPhone 4 on Verizon technically is not a new product, there are many AT&T customers that have waited for this day to come for nearly four years and even more Verizon customers who have waited.

Pre-orders statistics, on the other hand, were extremely high. Reports say Verizon iPhone sales could pass one million in the first week. Some speculate it's because of the new "death hug" problem on the Verizon iPhone that really should not matter at all. Remember on AT&T everyone complained that touching the left corner of your phone caused you to lose bars? Well in an attempt by the media to make a story out of nothing, it has now been dubbed as somewhat of an issue that when taking both of your hands and wrapping them entirely around your phone making sure the entire antenna is covered, you could lose bars as well. No shit, sherlock. Don't believe everything you read -- except this.

Still, hype for the Verizon iPhone remains pretty strong even if lines are a bit weak today. Either way, there's plenty of happy customers and I'm pretty sure Verizon and Apple are pretty happy with pre-order sales.
