Rebecca Black's "Friday" Music Video Removed from YouTube
It appears that as of right now, Rebecca Black's music video "Friday" has been taken down from YouTube by the same company that created it: Ark Music Factory. While up, the music video garnered 64 million views and nearly 1.2 million dislikes, meaning approximately 1.88% of all viewers disliked the video.
Shortly after being posted the video went viral in all the wrong ways. It's been criticized countless times for being such a terrible song -- terrible lyrics, terrible auto-tune, terrible video, etc. But since the song can't stop being talked about, I have to suggest that it's apparently terribly catchy. The video sparked a ton of parodies as well.
There's no word as to why the video has been taken down all of a sudden. Mashable speculates that it gave Ark Music Factory a bad name. The story will continue when details are provided.
Update (7:52p ET): The video is back up! We can all resume getting down on Friday.
