Apple Confirms White iPhone 4 This Spring to WSJ
Apple is finally going to release the entirely white iPhone 4 this spring, ten months after the iPhone 4 was first released. The company confirmed this information to the Wall Street Journal earlier today.
The white iPhone 4 was originally supposed to be released at the same time as the black model in June 2010, but when the time came for pre-orders to begin, the white iPhone was nowhere to be found. Apple had said the white iPhone was hard to manufacture and would be delayed. In July, they delayed the release again until the fall. In the fall, they delayed the release one more time to this spring. It looks like the delays have finally stopped. CEO Steve Jobs even joked at the unveiling of the iPad 2 that "we're gonna be shipping these in white from day one!"
But with an iPhone 5 slated for a release this fall, will it be worth it to sign that two-year contract with an iPhone 4 now just because it comes in white?
