Apple Gives Developers Chance to Write A5 Optimized Apps for New iPhone

Apple is staying ahead of the game to be fully prepared when the iPhone 5 launches. It's no surprise that Apple's dual-core A5 chip would eventually make its way into the iPhone. As soon as it debuted at the launch of the iPad 2, everybody knew it. Just in case there wasn't enough evidence to support this, Apple has been giving developers some special iPhone 4s lately to start working on apps that would take advantage of the dual-core processor to come. These iPhone 4 models are special because they are totally identical to the current ones available, but secretly have that A5 chip buried inside.

The iPad 2 was released over a month ago, and there still aren't many apps that really take advantage of the power the A5 has to offer. Of course, the current apps available run much faster, but those were designed with the single-core A4 in mind. Apple has obviously learned very quickly from this and is taking the needed steps to ensure the iPhone 5 shows off its new abilities.
