Evidence in Mac OS X Lion Points to Retina Display Macs

Some mighty large images have been found in Mac OS X Lion -- images too large to be displayed on current Macs. Wallpaper images are at 3200x2000 pixels and even icons are at an astounding 1024x1024, which is larger than some displays today. Only one thing can possibly come out of this. Apple is prepping up for the future with retina display Macs. It may not be here anytime soon, but they will obviously be adding these high pixel density displays on Macs within the lifespan of Lion, due out this summer. It's going to take a lot of power and a lot of UI scaling to get done but it looks like Apple is up for the challenge.
