Facebook Adds New Features and Improvements to Groups
In addition to the Send button, Facebook is also launching some new features for friend groups today. This starts with some brief new features. For one, you can now post a Facebook Question to a specific group instead of having to post a question to your entire news feed. You can also upload photo albums specific to a group. Previously, photos on groups were limited to one photo per upload.
Besides features that will benefit members in groups, there are also some new tools for administrators. Remember the old Groups that was like a Facebook fan page but private? Facebook is finally providing a way for administrators to upgrade those old groups to the new format. This tool will be rolled out over the next few weeks and is completely optional. Another great administrator feature is the ability to approve or decline new members into the group. Right now, any member of any group can add any friend to the group just with the click of a mouse. It's nice to see Facebook taking some steps to give more power to administrators and to ensure privacy... again.
