Facebook Launches Send Button Alongside Like Button

Fscebook has announced today the addition of a Send button for websites to incorporate, which has a slightly different purpose than the widely-used Like button but is not at all meant to replace it. Right now when you hit the Like button on any web page, it automatically shares a link to all of your Facebook friends. With the Send button, you'll now be able to send the link to just a handful of your friends, a specific friend group you are in, or an email address. It's the next logical step for Facebook and I'm glad they made this move. Unfortunately, web designers do have a bit more code to add and position properly to the site. Count on seeing Send buttons popping up around the web within the next few months. At it's launch, it is only available to select partners.
