YouTube unveiled YouTube Live to the world today, a new live streaming video service from YouTube and its (very few) partners. YouTube plans on streaming events, concerts, interviews, announcements, and more live to the channel. Viewers will be able to communicate with each other via the live comment feature. Subscriptions are still in place too: you can subscribe to receive notifications for upcoming events from specific partners. Eventually, YouTube says they want to expand the channel and grant access to thousands of partners to stream their events live.
