Microsoft has sent out invitations today for an event being held on May 24th. The company plans to introduce the next major version of the Windows Phone OS, presumably Windows Phone 8 codename "Mango". There haven't been many rumors about the software release but in the weeks to come we are likely to hear some possible features to be announced at the event. Microsoft will kick off the presentation at 9:30 am. Rather than compete with iPhone and iOS, Microsoft should have Android right within its crosshairs.
