New iPhone Being Tested Already?

New iPhone Being Tested Already?

This is sort of last week's news, but I really wanted to at least touch on this. Apple is currently testing a new iPhone. Yes, already. An app developer reported last week that in its analytics, it found a new iPhone using the app. The internal codename was iPhone 3,1 where the most recent iPhone, iPhone 3G S, is used as iPhone 2,1 by Apple internally. This means a new iPhone is being tested.

Does this mean a new iPhone is being released soon? No. Does it mean a new iPhone is going to be released eventually? Yes. And you can probably target that date for June 2010 like all the other iPhones. But it seems like Apple is getting early work on the new iPhone. Hopefully, this means an abundance of new features and improvements from the previous generation.

We'll, sadly but truly, have to wait another half of a year to find out.

We don't know yet, the new iPhone will probably be announced in June as all other iPhones are. What we do know is Apple is probably testing a new device according to the codename found by a developer.
