No More iPhones in New York City!

No More iPhones in New York City!

AT&T stopped selling iPhones recently in New York City claiming that the iPhone is no longer available because there aren't enough towers to support it. Many people are beginning to report this and if this is true, I wonder what Apple has to say about it!

If you go to attwireless.com and enter in the zip code for New York City (whatever that may be) you'll find that the iPhone is "unavailable in your area". AT&T has finally dropped the bomb.

It seems that they simply don't want to do any work to solve their network, and they are just going to give up. Brilliant idea: People are whining about poor iPhone service in New York. Solution: It's not our fault, it's iPhone's fault! Remove it immediately.

Nice.

UPDATE 12/28: AT&T has resumed selling iPhones online for New York City customers.
