Apple CEO Criticizes Google and Adobe
Last week after the announcement of the iPad, Apple CEO Steve Jobs held a meeting at Apple to answer any questions that may have surfaced while giving details about the tablet device. Some questions came about about the exclusion of Flash player support on Safari and how Google's Nexus One is to compete with the iPhone.
For Flash support, Steve Jobs quotes "whenever a Mac crashes, more often than not, it's because of Flash...No one will be using Flash. The world is moving to HTML5." He also described Adobe as a lazy company. While it may be true that slowly people are moving on to HTML5 standards, this is a very slow process and it will take a hell of a lot to get people to completely forget about Flash. Websites such as Disney, Hulu, and many more all run on Adobe Flash. Without support, you can't visit those important websites.
As for Google, the major growing rival of Apple, "We did not enter the search business. They entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won't let them." One wonders what exactly Apple has in mind to keep Google from beating the iPhone with their Nexus One phone.
