Facebook Soon Changing Your Photo Sizes
UPDATE (3/2): Facebook has just announced that is has begun rolling out the new photo sizes. Old photos will remain their original maximum size, but new photos will be up to 720p.
Facebook announced on its developer page that it will soon be changing photo sizes for both the profile picture and regular photos. Good news and bad news.
Regular photos (photo albums) will now be larger in size, you can view them bigger. (Finally). Previously, it was 604 pixels and now it's happily moving up to 720 pixels in size. This change will start rolling out tomorrow, January 20th.
As for profile pictures, those will actually be decreasing in size. They will now range 180 pixels wide by 540 in height at the maximum which is down by 200x600. This will happen within the next few weeks.
So expect the tweaks in photo sizes, kids.
