Digg 2.0 Promises Speed and Customization
Jay Adelson, CEO of Digg, announced yesterday at the South by Southwest Interactive (SXSWi) conference down in Austin, Texas, a new version of Digg called 2.0. Digg is a fairly popular service focused on content sharing from all around the web. If you "digg", something, you like it and want to share it with others publicly, and that's what Digg enables you to do.
He announced that Digg is going to be blazing fast. From now on, you will not have to log in to Digg in order to share something. If you are on another website, you click the Digg button (if available) and boom, it's done. It's shared.
Other features include:
- Any keyword can be its own category
- Content on home pages will be aggregated by a user's own particular interests
- Leader boards are coming back
- Once again, blazing fast
If you go to new.digg.com, you can enter your email address to request access now.
