Oh boy oh boy. Why is the world so obsessed with this seemingly stupid game? Zynga will now be rolling out a new way to purchase virtual goods: through prepaid cards that will be available at Best Buy, Target, 7-Eleven, and GameStop nationwide.

Oh, and it doesn't stop there. It's not just FarmVille that is getting these redeemable cards. YoVille and Mafia Wars will also have their prepaid cards sold at the same locations. You can pick up either $10 or $25 cards. Once purchased, you can go online and redeem them for in-game currency to buy your delightful virtual goods.

Having prepaid cards will make it easier to buy Zynga currency for friends and also for those who still aren't comfortable using a credit card online--especially to buy fake money. I'll have you know I stopped playing FarmVille before Christmas time when I had an epiphany saying: "Wait a minute... this game is pointless beyond belief." And poof, my obsession was gone.
