iPhone 4.0 is Getting Universal Mail App

Yep, Steve Jobs said it himself. Apparently, the iPhone will soon be getting a universal mail app for checking multiple accounts at the same time. Every so often, Steve Jobs himself replies to a select few emails that are sent to his public email address, sjobs@apple.com.

This time, an email was sent in with the following:

Hi Steve,
Just wanted to express my thanks to your company for its continuing effort on total customer satisfaction. I had various issues with my iPhone and even though my device was 36 days past its warrant coverage, the Genius gave me a new iPhone. It’s things like this that have solidified my status as a life-long customer.
Anyway, I just have one question for you, will iPhone ever have a universal mailbox just like Mail has on my Mac? It would be so much easier and efficient.
Thanks for reading and take care.
Julio
And guess what Steve Jobs replied? "Yup." That's it. Very small, but very clear. Looks like iPhone OS 4.0 might be the carrier of this universal mailbox feature. Oh and it even said at the bottom "Sent from my iPad". Nice, Steve, nice.
