The application is called AT&T U-Verse Mobile, and it will allow you to control your home DVR plus watch your recorded television shows and download others to the phone. AT&T already has a poorly designed app already for their U-Verse service which allows you to browse the guide and record a show, but that's basically it. Now with this new app, AT&T is actually adding a little luxury to our lives. Oh wait--except for the fact that you can only download shows over WiFi, no 3G allowed. Maybe this will come in the future, but its clearly a small sign that AT&T still isn't fully confident in their network to handle even more data.

No word on this app's release yet. As for the 2+ million U-Verse subscribers (including myself), rejoice!
