Twitter Unveils @Anywhere to Use Twitter on Any Website
BREAKING: Twitter just announced a new platform at SXSW called '@Anywhere' which is going to change the way many people use Twitter. Twitter explains it incredibly in the quote below:
Imagine being able to follow a New York Times journalist directly from her byline, tweet about a video without leaving YouTube, and discover new Twitter accounts while visiting the Yahoo! home page—and that’s just the beginning. That would be quite fascinating. That is what this platform will enable users to do. Instead of using APIs and tons of code to implement Twitter features on external websites, this will only take a few lines of code. Twitter will expanding outside its three current components: Twitter.com, desktop clients, and mobile clients. It will be anywhere companies and websites decide they want it. Plus, it's going to be so much easier to share content with your followers or to interact with the Twitter experience while you are surfing the web.
Twitter already has the following partners for @Anywhere as participating sites to implement their own unique style to the @Anywhere platform on their websites.
Can't wait to see the launch of this, which is for now unannounced, and what all these sites will have to offer to enhancing Twitter.
