Android Market Hits 50,000 Apps
Google's mobile operating system Android now has over 50,000 apps in its app store, or self-named Android Market. While Apple has nearly triple that amount, it's credible to see Android's app store really take off. Both Android and iPhone OS seem to be the only two mobile operating systems that were able to really carry through with the whole "app store" approach. Others, such as Palm's webOS, grew... but not enough for people to care about it. Take a look at the graph.
