Apple Posts iPad-Ready HTML5 Websites

It's clear that a lot of people weren't too happy that even the Apple iPad still did not include Flash support on its browser, but Apple seems to be sure that they are making the right decision, and they want us to know that.

On Apple's website, there's a new thumbnail image on the bottom right about iPad-ready websites. Clicking it will list some popular websites that uses HTML5 standards to show video. Apple boasts that Safari has all the latest web technologies built in such as HTML5 and CSS3. There's twelve there now. Among those are New York Times, Vimeo, Flickr, CNN, and Major League Baseball.



So what does this all mean? It means Apple's confident that people don't need Flash to have a great web experience. They need that HTML5 technology that Apple is clearly serving up.
