The day has finally come, according to claims made by AT&T. As you may know, it's pretty hard to not use "AT&T" and "suck" in the same sentence. Now, it may be a little easier. AT&T has announced they have completed the 3G network upgrade in New York City. The network now relies on the 850MHz band that should definitely improve overall connectivity. Call quality in NYC has apparently improved 47% and data speeds have improved 25%. This means that iPhone users -- those who obviously carry the bulk of the data usage on their shoulders -- should hopefully have a better experience in New York. While I don't live in New York, I can vividly remember visiting New York a couple of times, frustrated that the Maps application on my iPhone 3G simply would not load. Anyone in NYC using AT&T, can you support these claims?
