Microsoft said something big was coming today and as predicted, it's Microsoft Office 2010. Microsoft Office 2010 provides many improvements from Microsoft Office 2007 such as a slightly tweaked interface and new Backstage View in the File menu, better transitions and effects in PowerPoint, the ability to edit video and photos in PowerPoint, co-authoring in Word, linked notes in OneNote, and of course Microsoft Office Live, free web editions of each app available online. Microsoft Office Home & Student $149.95, Home & Business is $279.95, and Professional will be $499.95. There's also a special Academic version of Office for those on a college budget available exclusively at campus stores or online for authorized students. That will include all the benefits of Professional for $99.
