Flash Player 10.1 Now Available for Nexus One

For a phone that was murdered not long after its release, it certainly has been getting some special treatment -- seeing as it was the first phone to receive Android 2.2 "Froyo". Now, it's getting another special something. That special something is Flash Player 10.1 available as a free download in the Android Market. Adobe Flash will let Nexus One owners browse the web in its entirety without seeing a "missing plugin" sign whenever the user stumbles upon a Flash-based website.

Now, if you've been in a hole, you may not have heard that Apple and Adobe were at war because Apple simply would not allow Flash Player on any iOS devices. In Apple's defense, it was because Flash Player is sluggish and can ruin both the performance and battery life of the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. It seems as though Adobe has gotten over that and is focusing on products like the Nexus One who will embrace their product. So, those of you lucky enough to have snagged a Nexus One in the few months it was on the market, go ahead and snag your free download on the Android Market.
