Google Unveils Instant Search for Real Time Results and Predictions

Today at Google's search event, Google unveiled a brand new version of Google search that will begin rolling out today called Instant. Google Instant will be able to almost entirely replace the "search" button by bringing results to you in real time as you type on Google. With each letter you type in a search query, the results will be refreshed instantly to be more accurate for what you are searching.

With instant results is predictions. As you begin typing, Google will automatically show predictions underneath in gray as it tries to figure out exactly what you are looking for. The Google homepage already does this in a similar fashion.

The last of the main features is endless scrolling. Simply put, there will no longer be search result pages. Instead, you will be able to scroll and scroll and scroll for endless results all on a single page. Clicking the search button will now search for the exact query (e.g. "facebook login") rather than searching the words separately as it would normally function.

Check out a demo video below and be on the look out for Instant to be rolled out to you.
