Facebook announced today at their mobile event not only a mobile platform (information coming soon), but some updates to the current iPhone and Android apps. First is the implementations of the all-new Groups feature on Facebook, for connecting with multiple Facebook friends. Plus, a Places update is coming to iPhone to make it easier to tag friends that you are with at your location.

For the first time, Groups and Places are finally coming to the Android app as well. Both the iPhone app and Android app will be updated with these new features shortly.
