RockMelt Web Browser Attempts to Evolve the Browser

RockMelt is a new web browser based on Chromium, which powers Google Chrome. It's probably the first browser that is really trying to change the way we browse the internet. To start, it has Facebook built right into the browser. In fact, upon install you have to login using Facebook Connect to get going. From there, you can see your top Facebook friends on the left as well as a Share button on the top. You can drag anything on a page to your Facebook friends to share a link in Facebook Chat, or just click the Share button at the top to share a web page on Facebook or Twitter.

On the right you can customize links and news sources that will alert you when changes are made to the website or new articles are posted. Above that is a search box that will load search results in a drop down menu rather than on a separate page, and you can use your keyboard to flip back and forth between results.

There's a great demo video below, and you can sign up for a beta invite with your Facebook account at rockmelt.com.
