Digitimes reports today that Foxconn is currently in the process of assembling anywhere between 400,000 - 600,000 iPad 2 units to ship within the next 100 days, or by March 17th. If this is true, it seems likely we would hear an announcement in January, around the same time that Apple announced the first iPad last year. Of course, there's no details yet about the iPad 2, although rumors suggest it's likely to have a front facing camera for FaceTime video calls and a slightly altered design.
