Even after the flood of Android smartphones that sweeped the nation in 2010, the Apple iPhone 4 has won this year's "Best Mobile Device" award at MWC 2011. The device didn't actually take home the award since Apple never attends these types of events, but you get the gist of it. Judges for this award cite the iPhone 4's reign this year for:

Great screen, sharp design, fantastic materials, and phenomenal ecosystem for app developers. In a tight race, the iPhone 4 built on the success of its predecessors to set the pace for smart phones.

Even though iPhone 4 won the best mobile device, HTC managed to take the title of "Device Manufacturer of the Year" thanks to its tremendous growth and innovation in the past year.
