HP Announces the TouchPad webOS Tablet

At an event today by HP and Palm, both companies unveiled the Palm Touchpad that will run webOS. You may be familiar with the OS from the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi. Well this tablet is looking sexy inside and out. It features a 9.7-inch 1024x768 display, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera (with no mentioned rear camera), 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon processor, gyroscope, accelerometer, compass,  and comes in 16GB or 32GB flavors. Its form factor is a lot like the iPad.

webOS probably has the best interface for multitasking, which is included and shown off in the Touchpad. Palm uses their signature "deck of cards" layout for swiping between open programs. Flash is also takes its place on the Touchpad. It even includes Beats audio for great sound quality.

Dare I say this bad boy is looking sleeker and even better than Honeycomb?
