Upcoming Windows Phone 7 Update Brings Multitasking, Twitter Integration

Today at MWC, Steve Ballmer detailed the Windows Phone 7 update we all knew was coming. This update is going to include some major features people have been expecting: multitasking, copy and paste, Twitter integration, and CDMA radio support.

Multitasking on Windows Phone 7 will work in a strikingly similar fashion to Palm HP webOS. The apps will zoom out to reveal cards that can be switched between. It's unclear whether or not developers will need APIs to implement this like on iOS or if it's a more general feature like on Android.

Twitter integration will also come to all of your home screen hubs. Facebook is currently the only major social network supported. This full update will be available in early March.
